Snort

2015 - 2018

Working on Snort was an experience that combined high stakes and rewarding challenges. Snort is this incredible open-source intrusion prevention system, widely used by governments and corporations for real-time traffic analysis and packet logging. It's not every day that you get to contribute to a project with such an expansive reach! During my time with Cisco, my role revolved around giving Snort's website a boost. Built using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, I worked alongside a dynamic team of six to bring this project to life. Although we all contributed significantly, I was often at the helm of many website upgrades, ensuring that we continually improved and adapted to our user's needs. It was truly a fascinating project that allowed me to broaden my skills and work on a platform that is crucial to many organizations worldwide.
